I want you to know this therapy will acknowledge the very real challenges you face that are NOT just in your head. If you've been left out, excluded, and the people around you don't understand, you have every right to be angry, hurt and lonely. Do the people in your life expect you to conform or “fix your problem” and make you feel like a burden for having needs? Have you started to believe the negative messages; started believe you're lazy, not good enough or a burden? I offer support for folks who are going through it. You deserve full access to therapy, please don't hesitate to let me know how I can best support. For example: lying down during session to ease fatigue, video forms instead of words on paper. If you're not sure what you need, we can explore this together and find out what works best for you. You can email me at Schedule@BodyMindAllianceCC.com or you can reach me by phone at 215-259-8016. Note: Your gender identity, pronouns and sexual/affectional orientation will be respected and honored without making therapy “all about your identity” unless that is what you want or need. I focus on building a collaborative and affirming relationship with individuals, while utilizing the theoretical orientations identified below: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Somatic Experiencing. At this time, all services are provided via Telehealth. I am currently practicing out of the Philadelphia area. I am licensed in PA and NJ and am able to provide teletherapy to clients who reside anywhere within these two states. Sessions are conducted virtually by a hippa compliant video platform. I do two things really well - listen and empathize. You and your story are unique. My job is to help you set goals and develop a plan to set the path for our work together. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space for open sharing and reflection. My role is not to judge or tell you what you should do. The focus of therapy is on your strengths and to build on your resiliency. I look forward to you reaching out so we can start this process. I think you will find my approach warm, nonjudgmental, and easy-going.
Whatever brought you to finding me, whether it is seeking therapy for the first time or not finding a connection with multiple therapists, congrats on not throwing in the towel. Our clinicians are trained in a variety of modalities. This allows us to tailor our approach to the needs of our clients. We all believe that the therapeutic relationship is paramount to the therapy experience and strive to provide a supportive environment to explore past experiences and address issues in the present.
Hi! I help clients cultivate awareness, insight, and self-compassion so that they can know themselves in a deeper way and live more authentically. I'm level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), which means I can help you get to know and heal the parts of you who feel stressed, anxious, burnt out, or depressed. We do this in a gentle, trauma-informed way. My practice is also informed by studies in psychodynamic theory, self-compassion, mindfulness, creative arts, and Buddhist psychology. No matter what approach you feel most comfortable exploring, I believe that safety, consent, and the therapeutic relationship are the foundation for healing.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania (and all 40+ PSYPACT participating states). The current list of PSYPACT participating states can be found here: https://psypact.site-ym.com/page/psypactmap I obtained my doctoral degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where I received intensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy. While the foundation of my work is in the structure and skill-building of CBT, I individually tailor the structure of therapy to your needs and the challenges of your daily life. I work with adults and teenagers with mood and anxiety disorders, relationship challenges, and eating disorders. I specialize in therapy for eating disorders and balance CBT for eating disorders with practices of intuitive eating and Health at Every Size (HAES). If you have a difficult relationship with food or exercise, you are not alone in this journey. My goal as a therapist is to provide you with both support and skills. It is not easy to make changes to the way you cope or how you show up in relationships! If you want to understand where or why you are getting stuck, please reach out for support, and know that recovery is always possible!
Anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma have held you back too long. You want to thrive, to feel like life is moving in a positive direction, that you have a purpose and that you’re no longer cycling through patterns that have only caused you more pain. You’re tired of feeling like you are going around in circles, feeling “stuck” but you're not exactly sure why. Maybe you can’t remember the last time you weren’t feeling anxious, exhausted, or doubting yourself. You’re curious about what a life full of intention, joy, and peace could be like but aren’t sure how to get there. I hear you; it’s time for a change. Clients come to me for compassionate, nonjudgmental support. With a gentle, trauma-informed approach, we’ll uncover your strengths and shift your life/relationships in ways that feel more authentic. You can feel safe to explore the areas in your life that could be better, and I’ll help you develop the mindfulness, awareness and skills you need to get there. As a therapist specializing in trauma modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), I’ll help you feel secure enough to explore the root of any suffering, and capable enough to find the freedom that awaits you on the other side.
Whether you are living in physical pain or emotional pain, we will work together to help you sleep better, decrease pain, improve relationships, get "unstuck" and feel happier. One of our greatest goals as clinicians is treating you with the support and care you deserve. We not only want to help you feel better, we want to help you live better and move out of negative patterns of behavior that do not serve you. We work from an integrative perspective, meaning that we have been trained in a wide variety of psychological techniques and will combine them to help you achieve your goals. We will teach you to use the tools that help you most, so that you can continue to work with these techniques on your own, once you have completed therapy. And that sense of independence and control you gain over your own life, that will feel truly fulfilling!

Psychotherapy that helps to bring about transformation will offer insights into the deeper motivations that lie outside of our conscious awareness in everyday encounters. Circle Counseling seeks to provide, through the therapeutic relationships formed between our clients and counselors, the opportunity for the client to risk new ways of relating and being in the world. Each client comes with unique strengths and unique hurts that, when fully explored, will bring to light new, more healthy ways of thinking, feeling, and acting in the world. The truth about ourselves is sometimes hard to see, hard to understand, and hard to admit, but in therapy these hard realities can be looked at within the safety of a caring, professional relationship. Let the truth set you free in new ways. Deepen your spirit and find new joy. We have 15 therapists ready to provide services.
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, or the impacts of trauma? Do you wish you could show up differently in your life and with those you love? As we try our best to adapt to the world around us, we can sometimes develop patterns that are unhelpful or that no longer serve us in our current circumstances, which can lead us to feel stuck. I will work alongside you to build insight, foster self-compassion, and help you to identify your own internal resources for healing.
*Due to the current Covid-19 crises, my practice is set up to see patients thru video conference calling which is HIPPA compliant for privacy. I believe that individual therapy is the bedrock of mental health change especially for personal issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship self esteem and emotional problems of living. Counseling with your therapist needs to be collaborative where clients sort out thoughts and feelings in order to get a better understanding of who they are. Counseling is completely different from person to person. One client may want more advice or suggestions. Another might want mostly to vent and to be heard. Still others may need to be challenged or confronted. In general, though, most therapists believe that counseling helps us understand thoughts and feelings about ourselves that we have not previously fully recognized. Sigmund Freud referred to this process as making that which is unconscious conscious. I trust that clients know deep down what should be talked about in therapy and that they mostly need help knowing how to access these thoughts and feelings in order to realize what it is they want and need from others and their lives. My approach is eclectic or integrative, but I use many behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approaches in my work. I am particularly interested in evidenced-based and best practices approaches to treatment and so I continually challenge myself to learn newly refined techniques and approaches and provide each patient with the best of my learning over 30 years of practice in multiple settings. I am humanistic and client centered as well and and have found that it often helps patients to know that their therapist is a regular, genuine and authentic individual who is dedicated to my profession and feels that much can be learned from the relationship of therapy. Many clients come to a therapist’s office because they are struggling in their relationships. Paying attention to how your relationship develops in the office can help you understand how really important social interactions in your life outside of the therapeutic relationship actually work.
